My honest take

Acuity is a capable product. If you need group classes, packages, or deep Squarespace integration, Acuity is probably the better fit.

I built Availo because I kept hearing: "I'm paying for features I don't use" and "I need three different apps to do what should be one thing."

Availo is intentionally simpler. If you need Acuity's advanced features, use Acuity. If you want something straightforward, that's what Availo is for.
