Different tools for different jobs

Calendly is a meeting scheduler. It's designed to help you find a time to meet — usually for sales calls, interviews, or consultations. It's excellent at that, and integrates with practically everything.

Availo is a business platform. It's designed to run your appointment-based business — with client profiles, text and email messaging, automatic reminders, and follow-ups. It replaces the 3-4 tools service businesses usually juggle.

When you need help

Calendly

Help center, ticket system, support team. Solid documentation, but you're one of millions of users.

Availo

You email me. I built the product, I know every line of code, and I reply personally — usually same day.

My honest take

Calendly is a great product. They've been around since 2013, they're backed by serious funding, and they've built integrations with everything.

I didn't build Availo to compete with Calendly on meeting scheduling. I built it because I saw service businesses — salons, spas, wellness practitioners — paying for Calendly plus a client tracker plus a texting tool plus a reminder system. Four tools that don't talk to each other.

Availo puts all of that in one place. It's purpose-built for appointment-based service businesses, not generic scheduling.
